First Home Contest in 27 Days
LARAMIE, Wyo. (Dec. 17, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowboys return to the friendly confines of the Arena-Auditorium on Thursday for the first time in nearly a month hosting Bellarmine at 6:30 p.m. It is the first matchup between the two schools and will be the final non-conference home game of the season.

Fans can watch on the MW Network, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.
About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 5-5 overall record after falling to BYU 68-49 on Saturday night in Salt Lake City. The Pokes are a perfect 4-0 at home this season. Wyoming is shooting 44.9 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from behind the arc. Opponents are shooting 42.8 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from behind the arc. The Pokes are recording 39.9 rebounds per game for third in the MW. Wyoming is +7.6 on the glass this season, which ranks second in the conference.
Bellarmine heads into the contest with a 3-8 overall record. The Knights dropped an 86-82 home contest to Ball State on Saturday. Bellarmine adds 76 points per game and allows 78.7 points. The Knights shoot 47.9 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from behind the arc. Opponents shoot 47 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from behind the arc. The Knights are one of the top free throw shooting teams in the nation shooting 82.2 percent for the season.
About The Players
The Cowboys are led in scoring this season by Obi Agbim at 18.3 points per night, which rank first in the MW. He has 22 made threes for the season and is shooting 45.8 percent from deep. Agbim went over 1,000 career points at BYU. Jordan Nesbitt adds 10.2 points per game and leads the team with 9.2 rebounds per night, which ranks third in the MW and No. 26 in the nation. Kobe Newton adds 10 points per game and is second on the team with 16 three pointers. He has matched his season scoring output from last season.
Bellarmine is led in scoring by Jack Karasinski at 16.9 points per game. Ben Johnson adds 13.5 point per game and has hit 29 threes on the season. Billy Smith has 28 triples on the season and adds 13.5 points per game as well. Dylan Branson leads the team with 4.6 rebounds per game.
About The Series
The Cowboys and Bellarmine will meet for the first time on Thursday. In fact, it marks the first time since 1993-94 that Wyoming has played a team from the State of Kentucky, as UW faced Louisville that season.
