• Soccer hosting Riverton on Saturday
After a busy start to the spring sports season and the spring break on top of that, the student-athletes for SVHS track and soccer are back at practice this week as they prep for the push to the end of the school year.
Here’s a look at where each program stands and where they are headed this week.
Girls Soccer:
The Lady Braves have a junior varsity match on the home pitch versus Lyman on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. start. This is followed up by JV and varsity matches on Thursday on the road in Evanston with a varsity start of 3 p.m. The ladies will then pay their first home match of the season on Saturday afternoon as they host the Riverton Wolverines with a 12 noon start. The busy schedule continues with another home match on Tuesday, April 15, as they host the Green River Wolves at 4 p.m.
Boys Soccer: The Braves will also have a junior varsity match on Wednesday as they host Lyman with a start time of 5 p.m. Star Valley will then be on the road in Evanston to face the Red Devils with a start time of 5 p.m. The first home match against Riverton will be played on Saturday with a varsity start time of 2 p.m. The boys will then host Green River on Tuesday, April 15, with a 6 p.m. start time.

Track & Field: The SVHS thinclads will be on the road this Thursday for a trip to Sugar-Salem to compete in the Digger Invite. Others who have qualified will travel to Arcadia, California to run in the Arcadia meet on Friday, April 11-12. Others will compete at the BYU Invite on Saturday, April 12. The program’s lone home meet, the Dave Draney Invite, is scheduled for Thursday, April 24.
