LaBarge asks residents to conserve water following power outage

The Town of LaBarge has asked its residents to not use any unnecessary water for the time being after a power outage damaged equipment.

“The power outages last night took down some equipment in the water plant,” the town said in a statement. “Our Water Operators are manually processing our water, until the equipment can be repaired. Also, the pump house is under construction still with intermittent on and off cycles.”

The damage and construction is affecting how much water the town can keep in the storage tanks, which isn’t being restocked as normal with the issues, according to the statement.

LaBarge said they will let residents know when they can return to a normal routine, but no estimated timeline was given.
