
Lincoln County School District #2 has welcomed 14 new teachers to the district for the 2025-26 school year. The new teachers attended a training on August 13-14 to familiarize themselves with the district mission and policies. Each new teacher is introduced here with a few details of interest.
Molly Bagley is assigned to teach at Swift Creek High School as a Science teacher and comes to Star Valley after teaching at Rawlins Middle School.
Kristin Clove will be teaching English at Star Valley Middle School. She was raised in Star Valley and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Utah State University in Journalism. She then obtained a graduate teaching certificate from the University of Wyoming. Kristin enjoys photography, art, reading, traveling and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Tyrel, have three daughters and moved their family to Star Valley 10 years ago.
Hattie Cox will be serving at Cokeville High School as the Journalism, Yearbook and Senior Capstone Advisor. She teaches reading and ELA. Hattie comes to Star Valley from Rawlins Middle School where she taught ELA for five years. She enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, traveling, meeting new people and experiencing other cultures through social sciences. Hattie, the daughter of Mike and Sonia Coziah, was raised in Grover. She and her husband, Steven, have four children.
Laura Cranmer will be teaching 5th Grade at Etna Elementary. She completed her training at the Georgia Institute of Technology and spent seven years teaching math to students 6-12 grade. Laura enjoys gardening, reading, quilting and traveling. She and her husband have two children and five grandchildren.
Reese Fullmer will be working in Special Education at Afton Elementary. A graduate of SVHS, she received her training at Utah State University and is the daughter of Kelly and Gina Fullmer.
Abbey Hunsaker will be serving in Kindergarten Special Education at Afton Elementary. She completed her credentials through the University of Wyoming and has worked in Elementary and Early-Childhood Education in addition to Special Education.
Chrissy Jensen is assigned to serve in Special Education at Etna Elementary. She completed her degree at the University of Wyoming and Western Governor’s University and spent over a decade in social work. Her interests include reading, rocks and outdoor recreation. Her husband, Jake, also teaches Special Education.
Faith Lewis will be teaching English at Star Valley Middle School. She has served as the Cheer Coach at SVHS, and her family includes three littles.
Rayna Marsland is assigned to teach at Etna Elementary School in Special Education.
Jacob Simpson will be teaching at Kindergarten at Etna Elementary. He completed his studies in 2018 at the University of Wyoming. He has taught most elementary grade levels in Wyoming and Utah. Jacob very much enjoys teaching Kindergarten, as this is his fifth year teaching that grade level. He loves hiking, fishing and hunting as well as house projects, and creating new things. He and his wife have 4 children ages 6 years to two months.
Carter Smith is assigned to teach at Cokeville High School teaching in the wood, automotive and welding shops. His interests include racing horses and raising livestock animals. Carter was raised in Ririe, Idaho and comes to Cokeville with his wife, who was raised there.
Mya Thornock is assigned to teach Art with LCSD#2. She received her training from Utah State University and spent some time teaching in Twin Falls, Idaho. She loves playing sports, especially soccer. She calls herself a “big crafter” and a “TV binger.” Mya and her husband, Thomas, have twin daughters who are a year old.
Danyel Turner will be serving at Etna Elementary. She completed her training with Valley City University in General and Special Education. She has worked in LCSD#2 at Afton Elementary and at SVHS in Special Education. Danyel loves teaching and enjoys crocheting, swimming, camping, spending time with her family, and appreciates quiet places. She has four children and nine grandchildren with one on the way.
Julianne Wright is assigned to work with students at Etna Elementary. She received her credentials from Arizona State University and has taught 5th grade and 8th grade as a long-term substitute. Her interests include outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking and spending time at the gym.
