A man from Lyman has agreed to plead guilty to second-degree murder according to court documents. Skyler Gray, age 37, will accept a plea deal rather than go to trial where he was due to face a first-degree murder charge. Gray could receive a sentence that will total between 50 and 75 years in prison.
The man that Gray allegedly shot dead was Jeremy Jaques, aged 48. Gray allegedly shot Jaques up to ten times over what he perceived as a debt owed to him according to court documents.
The announcement of the plea deal took place on August 6. Prior to accepting that deal, the scheduled first-degree murder trial set to take place in November.
