SHERIDAN (WNE) — The mother of the man who shot and killed Sheridan Police Department Sgt. Nevada Krinkee has been sentenced to prison and probation.
Wyoming District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson sentenced 71-year-old Eileen Marie Hurley to 12 months and one day of imprisonment and one year of supervised probation for transferring a firearm to her son, William Lowery, who was a felon and for providing false testimony about the firearm purchase.

Hurley appeared in the U.S. District Court of Wyoming in Cheyenne Wednesday morning for her sentencing hearing.
During the hearing, Karla Krinkee — Nevada’s wife — gave a victim impact statement where she reflected on her husband and the impact his absence has left on her family and the Sheridan community.
Due to several health problems, Hurley will serve her sentence in the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kenutcky. FMC Lexington is a federal prison in Kentucky for inmates who require medical or mental health care.
After serving 12 months and one day in prison, Hurley will be placed on one year of supervised probation. Hurley waived her right to appeal the judgement and sentence.
Hurley will be required to report to the facility in Kentucky by 1:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
