Star Valley Health and blood services provider Vitalant will host a community wellness fair and blood drive at the Afton Civic Center on October 13. Blood donors can donate from 2-5:30 p.m. and the wellness fair is scheduled from 2-6 p.m. The event is free.

The fair is designed to connect the community with helpful health information, while boosting the local and regional blood supply. Star Valley Health providers and specialists will be on-site to answer questions across many health topics, including physical therapy, OB/GYN, cancer prevention, and EMS. Free blood pressure screenings will be available at the hospital’s preventive care booth.

Vitalant operates across the US and is the blood supplier for Star Valley Health. Individuals 16 and older may donate blood, though parental consent is required for 16 and 17-year-old donors. ID is required. Additional information is available at StarValleyHealth.org and Vitalant.org.
