The Wyoming Game & Fish Department have successfully salvaged roughly 100 trout from the Hams Fork River north of Kemmerer. The trout were moved from a dewatered segment of the river following a temporary drawdown so that an inspection of the spillway could be completed. The fish were released downstream of the work area.
Approximately 670 yards of the Hams Fork River below the spillway has been temporarily dewatered. Water released from the low-level outlet will rejoin the main channel of the river farther downstream. The reservoir is being operated using the low-level outlet works on the southwest side of the dam until necessary repairs to the main spillway can be funded and completed.
