
Trying to advance to the 4A finals for the first time, the Braves ran into the top-ranked Sheridan Broncs who lived up their billing in a 71-45 Broncs victory.
Sheridan, who led the 4A classification in both offense and defense this season shot over 65% from the field and had three players finish in double figures led by Rocky Mountain College signee, Nate Miner, who had 17. John Spielman scored 14 and Riley Friday finished with 11.
The Braves were led by Cooper Lancaster who finished with 14 points. Lincoln Liddiard scored eight and Tayt Lawson chipped in seven off the bench.
The loss drops Star Valley into the third-place game against the Thunder Basin Bolts who lost to Natrona county 59-52 in the other 4A semifinal.
