• Dough Raising Day will also take place on May 14
This Thursday is an opportunity for those wishing to aid the Star Valley Braves football team in earning money toward their season-opening trip to Alaska to face the Soldotna Stars at the end of August.
On Thursday April 23 and also on May 14, Domino’s Pizza in Afton is donating 20-percent of sales to the cause in what they call “Dough Raising Day.”
Orders can be phoned in or made online and patrons can use any of the current specials.
Use the code DN1 while ordering over the phone or have a team member of Domino’s add the coupon code in the store when you pick up your order.
The Braves, winners of four straight Wyoming 3A state titles will try and extend their school-record 33-game winning streak as they travel to Alaska to face Soldotna, winners of the last three state championships in their classification.
No taxpayer money is being used for the additional expense of travel which is why the team will be fundraising for airline tickets and other expenses for the trip which will take place on the final weekend of August. The players and coaches will be sleeping in the gymnasium for their housing. One day will be taken to see the area such as Kenai Fjords National Park in Seward.
