• Money to go to scholarship fund for the children of Cassie Clinger
Star Valley residents continue rallying to support the family of Cassie Clinger, with fundraising efforts focused on her three children. This week provides an opportunity to give with an exclusive showing of the new film “The Mandalorian and Grogu” at Star Valley Station on Thursday, May 21 at 9 p.m.
The fundraiser was organized by the local charity Star Valley Star Wars. Organizer Dave Johnson said the event is “a good opportunity to get all my geeky friends together and help somebody.” He said it has been about seven years since the group last hosted a similar event. In the past they have helped other organizations and causes, including local food banks, organizing other movie premiers. The first was in 2015 with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (also known as “Star Wars Episode: VII”)
