Lower Valley Energy Board elections close Thursday

Members of the Lower Valley Energy Cooperative have until Thursday, June 23 to vote for Board of Director candidates. Those who live in a district that is up for election should have already received paper ballots in the mail. Voting can also be done online at LVenergy.com. Online voting closes at 12:00 noon while paper ballot voting can go up to the start of the Annual Meeting at 5:45 p.m.

District 1, covering south of Strawberry Creek outside the narrows to Smoot, and District 2, covering the west side of Highway 89 from the Narrows through Alpine, are both up for vote locally. District 6 and 7, both in Teton County, are also up for election. Voting is not at large, but by district only. Members will only vote for the board representative from within their district.

Seeking election in District 1 are Dan Dockstader and Sean Salisbury, with Devin Simpson and Heather Goodrich running in District 2. Ray Elser and Stina Brock are competing for District 7 while Max Moran is running unopposed in District 6.

Lower Valley Energy’s Annual Meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25 at the Afton office located at 236 North Washington. President/CEO Bear Prairie will provide an update, the Secretary/Treasurer will provide a financial report and audit summary and election results will be announced.
