Dave Stamey, an acclaimed cowboy musician and entertainer, is returning to Afton to give a concert at the historic Ford Theatre on Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m. A member of the Western Music Hall of Fame since 2016, Stamey weaves comedy into a concert featuring stories of authentic western lifestyle.

“People are excited to welcome Dave Stamey back to the Ford Theatre stage,” said Jaclyn Lechner, Executive Director with Salt River Arts. “This is sure to be a wonderful evening of Western music and entertainment. Dave’s music has a special way of capturing the spirit, traditions, and humor of the American West. It’s exciting to have an artist of his caliber coming to our community, and I hope folks will come out and enjoy what promises to be a memorable night.”

Stamey is deeply respected by fans and critics alike. According to davestamey.com, he has earned his living as cowboy, a mule packer, a dude wrangler, and is “now one of the most popular Western entertainers working today. He has been voted seven times Entertainer of the Year, seven times Male Performer of the Year and five times Songwriter of the Year by the Western Music Association and received the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists. He’s delighted audiences in twenty-three states.”
