The privilege to cast a vote is priceless. Sometimes it makes a difference, sometimes it’s absorbed within a larger picture and we don’t see the immediate results. However, it’s still an incredible honor to vote.

I have the opportunity to vote several hundred times every winter in the state’s Legislative process. Regardless of the vote being something small and perhaps insignificant in a committee or being the one vote that changes the ultimate decision of an entire governing body, I never take the privilege for granted.

Early voting is open now and the primary is Aug. 18. If you don’t like the crowds of a primary day event, cast your decisions now, but please take the time to vote.

As is the tradition, the primary generally guides the course of action in Wyoming. Again, take the time to vote.
