The following is a paid political endorsement provided by Evan Simpson
Having served with many of the state and federal office political candidates, I have developed opinions of who are good leaders, and who are not. I offer the following to anyone who does not know the candidates and would like to hear opinions on who might be the best Leaders for our State:
U.S. Representative
Steve Friess — He is the one candidate who is not a career politician and he supports Term Limits in Congress. Of all the flyers we have received in the mail, his is the ONLY ONE who didn’t photo shop themselves with President Trump. His was a real photo!
Wyoming Governor
Eric Barlow — He was elected as the Speaker of the House while I served in that body. He is a veterinarian and a cattle rancher. He was an excellent leader in the House and would be the best Governor. Don’t be deceived by the negative Flyers with False Information!
Secretary of State
The only candidate I know here is Rachel Rodrigues-Williams. She moved from California to Cody several years ago. In the House, she voted much different that the mainstream republicans. I plan to vote for C.J. Young who used to work in the Sec. of State’s Office.
Auditor
Kristi Racines — She is running unopposed for a reason. She is a great Auditor and no one dares run against her. She is a keeper!
State Treasurer
Curt Meier is the incumbent. His first term was shaky, but I think he is still a better choice than Scott Smith. At least he has extensive institutional knowledge.
Superintendent of Public Instruction
Hands down, Steve Harshman. He is a teacher and football coach from Casper. He was the Speaker of the House for two terms while I served. He is a great leader and would be invaluable on the State Land & Investment Board.
