Evlyn Davis

Evlyn Davis

Evlyn Lancaster Davis passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on October 20, 2026, in Nampa, Idaho, following a brief illness.

Evlyn was born on October 4, 1951, to Dean and Neva Lancaster of Smoot, Wyoming. She grew up happily on the family farm, learning the values of hard work and devotion that would define her life. She graduated from Star Valley High School.

In 1971, she married Charles “Dennis” Davis. Together, they spent the first 15 years of their marriage building a beautiful life in Star Valley, Wyoming. Work opportunities eventually took them to Anderson in Northern California. Upon retirement, Dennis and Evlyn settled in Caldwell, Idaho to fulfill their greatest joy: being close to their children and grandchildren.

Evlyn lived a courageous life. Despite facing much adversity, she met every trial with quiet strength, leaving behind a profound legacy of perseverance and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her family was the centerpiece of her world, and she was a deeply devoted grandmother. She spent much of her final months organizing old photographs and reminiscing about her loved ones on both sides of the veil.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis; her parents, Dean and Neva Lancaster; and her brother, Rollin Lancaster (Mishaun).

Her legacy lives on through her four children: Chuck Davis (Anne), Crista Davis, Rick Davis (Tanya), and Jaime Mahler (Dan); her 16 cherished grandchildren; and her surviving siblings: Beverly Simpson (Brent), Bernell Lancaster (Susan), Terryl Lancaster (Shelly), LaDawn Ericksen, and Ray Lancaster (Lori).

A small family gathering will be held to celebrate Evlyn’s life, and she will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Nampa, Idaho.
