Rosemary Weltner passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 19, 2018. Rosemary was born on June 5, 1922 in Shinnston, W. Va. to Charles and Marie Alexander, who immigrated from Lebanon. She soon moved to Morgantown, W. Va. where she spent the majority of her life. She married David E. Weltner on Aug. 26, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pa. She spent most of her life in sales, managing a hotel in Knoxville, Tenn. and working with her family at the Hotel Morgan in Morgantown, W. Va. In 2003 Rosemary moved to Hernando, Fla. where her two daughters lived. She then moved to Jackson where she had the opportunity to be close to her grandson Jason’s family. Her family and friends in Star Valley and Jackson filled her last years with much pleasure. Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son David.
She is survived by her daughters Jenifer (Robert) Snider of Etna and Cathy (James) Conn of Hernando, Fla., and by her grandchildren Jason Snider of Jackson, Reagan Weltner of Wharton, N.J. and Madison Weltner of Knoxville, Tenn. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Presbyterian church of Jackson Hole.
