An accident on U.S. Highway 89 between Alpine and Hoback Junction near the Taco Hole area at milepost 124 caused delays and reduced the flow of traffic on Tuesday afternoon, July 17.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation Northwest District Twitter feed (@WYDOT_Northwest) the crash occurred at approximately 12 noon and involved an overturned semi truck.

WYDOT declared that the accident scene had been cleared and that the delays were easing at approximately 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
