A car accident on Friday, December 18 has claimed the lives of Robert and Joanne King. The couple was traveling on U.S. 89 in Star Valley when the accident occurred.

Responding agencies included the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Star Valley EMS and the Afton Fire Department.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred just after 6 p.m. near mile marker 92 on U.S. Highway 89 (in the vicinity of the intersection of County Road 130 and U.S. Highway 89).
Traffic was rerouted in the area for several hours following the multi-car collision, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
