Cynthia Lummis became the first woman to represent the State of Wyoming in the United States Senate on Sunday, January 3. The video of this occasion was shared on the Facebook page of Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) as former Senator Mike Enzi and current U.S Representative Liz Cheney were both in attendance.

Lummis previously served as the Wyoming Representative in the U.S. House from 2009 to 2017. She did not run for re-election in 2016, a position that has since been filled by Cheney.
