An Ogden woman has died following at ATV crash near Bear Lake. Bear Lake County Sheriff Bart Heslington said a single vehicle accident involving an ATV was reported at 8:15 pm on Friday, November 26.

According to Sheriff Heslington the accident occurred at the intersection of Mountain Way and Dogwood Circle in the town of Fish Haven. Deputies discovered that an ATV, driven by Alicia Springfield, age 36 of Ogden, Utah, had gone out of control and overturned.

Springfield was treated at the scene and transported by Bear Lake County Ambulance Service personnel, and later transported to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Life saving efforts and emergency surgery were unsuccessful and Springfield died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

Sheriff Heslington said the accident remains under investigation.
