• Donations need to be made early.

The Star Valley Branch Library, located in Afton, is teaming up with the Bank of Star Valley (BOSV) to bring in books and toys for the BOSV Angel Tree Program. The ages for donations to consider are 18 years and younger.

Donations can be dropped off starting November 20 until December 13 at 6 p.m. at the Star Valley Branch Library in Afton. Toys and books need to be unwrapped and in new condition to be accepted for the Angel Tree Program.

Star Valley Branch Library’s Branch Manager, Lizzy Larson,  explained that if specific needs are not able to be met for Angel Tree recipients, donations brought in during this Holiday Book and Toy Drive will provide them with something.

Larson shared how their team is striving to really focus on the community. “The library is here as a community resource,” says Larson. The work done at the library isn’t just books. As a matter of fact, that’ one of the things Larson says the job includes the least.

The Star Valley Branch Library has created many resources for the community as it continues to adapt to the needs of those in the area, including reaching out to the Bank of Star Valley and finding ways to assist in bringing joy to the community this season.
