• Winners competition announced for Lincoln County Fair
In a close vote from both the in-person audience and three judges, Brock Haderlie was named the 2024 Teen Vocalist winner on Friday night. Haderlie’s rendition of “Make A Man Out of You” from the Disney movie Mulan propelled him into the second round where he wowed the audience with “All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera. Allie Jack finished as the runner-up after crushing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” in the second round.
Teen Vocalist, held April 12 at Star Valley High School, included eight teenage singers who were selected through an audition process. Each singer performed on stage one by one with four singers advancing to the second round. The four finalists performed again with Haderlie being named the winner. Along with Haderlie and Jack, Peyton Hokanson and Olivia Burnham also advanced into the second round. Additional contestants included Anna Haderlie, Carlie White, Torrie White and Dylan Kallgren. All eight contestants put on a fantastic performance.

In addition, it was announced during Teen Vocalist that the main Vocalist event held during the Lincoln County Fair will be unique this year. Rather than opening up for auditions, The Vocalist will be a winners round with all eight previous winners returning to the stage to compete against each other, with the winner receiving the $10,000 grand prize and crowned the ultimate Vocalist. Contestants for the winners round include, in order of the year they won, Melissa Dickey (Laramie, formally of Star Valley), Case Tippetts (Star Valley), E.J. Pauni (Cokeville), Josh Jardine (Star Valley), Keiyanna Osmond (Logan), Erik Dalton (Ogden), Daniel Lechner (Star Valley) and Pual Jardine (Star Valley).
This year, The Vocalist will be held on Wednesday, August 7 in the main arena. Tickets go on sale soon at LincolnCountyFair.info.
