According to the Wyoming Lottery Facebook page, someone has purchased a winning ticket in the Cowboy Draw game from AJ’s Discount Liquor in Afton.
The posting encourages anyone who might have purchased a ticket from the store to check their numbers. The jackpot total of $1,417,663 would be the largest recorded in the Star Valley area although the Cowboy Draw has been fairly kind to those buying their tickets here. In 2020 a ticket for $800,000 was sold in Thayne and in 2021 a jackpot totaling $794,109 was sold in Alpine.
