• Auction and raffle proceeds benefit local fire departments.
Star Valley’s annual Small Business Expo is taking place Saturday, July 13 in the Etna Community Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Small businesses from throughout the valley are gathering to share information about the goods and services they offer.
“The Expo is for any local businesses that have been around or are brand new,” explained organizer Cass Martin in a phone interview with SVI Media. “It’s an event for them to get their names out to the community. A lot of people, especially those that are only here seasonally, might not know of all these new little businesses that have started throughout the valley.”
Silent auction and raffle baskets will be available for the public to bid and purchase. Proceeds from the auction and raffle will benefit all three fire departments in the valley.
Food and music will be available outdoors, with other activities possibly coming for children and youth. Businesses will have booths and tables indoors where they can share information about the goods and services they offer. Martin also plans on having a table offering business cards and literature about businesses that are unable to attend.
“This is for anyone who is starting out with a business and needs their name out to the community, or if they’re trying to grow their business and build their clientele. This is for everyone to grow and share their services to the community.”
Businesses interested in participating can contact Martin directly at 307-713-0084 by the end of the day, July 12.
