• P&Z working on 41 permits

A noise ordinance specific to the town boundaries in Alpine has passed on first reading.

The ordinance was reviewed in a July council meeting and addresses noise control within the town limits such as vehicle traffic, such as trucks coming through and using compression breaking.

In other news related to the town council, the Planning and Zoning Board is working on a land use code.

The P&Z had 41 land use permits in the process.

Under Travel and Tourism combined with Economic Development, the Music in the Parks program continues to grow as larger crowds are reported for the Thursday night events.
