How are the property taxes in Lincoln County distributed?

Based on yearly figures, July of 2023 to June of 2024, a total of 68,876,605.78 was collected.

The largest portion goes to education with Lincoln County School District No. 2 receiving $ 19,356,827.42  for that time period.

A sampling of municipalities shows Kemmerer at $178,846.46, Afton with 358,801.35, Alpine at 206,856.43, Star Valley Ranch 545,992.86 and Thayne 67,921.00.

The remainder is divided among the districts, such as fire, hospital, irrigation and cemeteries.
