Mary Luella “Mary Lue or Lue” Robinson Jensen, 81, passed away on November 9, 2024, at The Peaks Memory Care Facility in South Jordan, Utah.
Mary Lue was born on May 12, 1943, in Afton, Wyoming to John Melvin Robinson & Leone Augusta Erickson Robinson. She was the seventh of ten children, Verlene, John, Renn, Bruce, Rose, Lynn, Mary Lue, Merrill, Clint and Augusta. She was raised on the Idaho side of Freedom, Wyoming. She attended schooling in Wyoming and loved to read. She had an active childhood, as you can imagine, with nine siblings. She graduated from Star Valley High School in 1961. Butch and Mary Lue had six children, Lorin, Wes, Jack, Heather, Adam and Melissa. Butch worked as a lineman for most of their marriage, so they moved around a lot, but she never complained. They lived in all the western states, some more than once. But Murray, Utah was always home base. After Butch retired, they settled in West Jordan, Utah, close to their children. She told Butch that she had traveled all her life and she was done.
Mary Lue loved to crochet and knit, making so many afghans and hot pads for friends and family. She was a lady of many talents, she loved to quilt, sew, can food, and make the most delicious foods for her family. Some of her favorite activities were playing games with family and friends, bowling, gardening and SHOPPING! She also was an avid reader, especially murder/mystery.
