UPDATE: At 7:02 a.m. SVI received reports that traffic was beginning to move slowly through the area. School bus routes will be delayed 10-15 minutes on routes 16, 14, 10 and 25.
ORIGINAL: An accident in the narrows area of Star Valley is currently blocking both lanes of traffic on Highway 89. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred near mile post 95.
The accident occurred at roughly 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning, May 2. Emergency responders are currently on location. SVI has reached out for further information but no details are available at this time.
LCSD No. 2 Superintendent Matt Erickson said that bus transportation for lower valley students attending Star Valley Middle School and Star Valley High School is being delayed. The accident will not effect any elementary students. Erickson noted that all transportation personnel are currently on routes and no one will be in the transportation office until 7:30 a.m. or after.
