The Afton Volunteer Fire Department, Star Valley EMS and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home fire in Osmond Tuesday afternoon.

Lincoln County Dispatch received a 911 call around 1:00 p.m. for a house that was on fire and with a person still inside. Emergency responders arrived on scene to find the front entrance of the home in flames and smoke coming from the entire home. The missing individual was located as the flames were being extinguished. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office stated that one person was transported via ambulance to Star Valley Health where they succumbed to their injuries.

The identity of the deceased is pending release from the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
