Craig Wolfley was born August 27, 1951, in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Elmer Wolfley and Rayma Wolfley. His family later moved to Star Valley where he graduated from Star Valley High School. Craig joined the Marine Corps shortly after he graduated. He married Janet Moody at his parent’s home in Etna. They later moved to Wasilla, Alaska and had a son Brawn Wolfley on August 17, 1991. After Brawn’s birth, they moved to Sacramento, Calif. and then bought a house in Marysville, Calif. where he resided until his death. Craig passed on June 20, 2018. He leaves behind his loving wife, Janet, his son, Brawn, and his mother, Rayma Wolfley. He is also survived by his siblings Larra and Jim Hoffman, Dan and Debora Wolfley, Kim and Janet Wolfley, Cindy and Bob Armstrong, and Rick Wolfley along with nieces and nephews. Internment will be in the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery with full military honors.
John McLellan was born June 3, 1922 in Redstone, N.H. to Charles and Grace McLellan. After graduation John enlisted in the army, serving in the 10th Mountain Division Ski Troops in WWII, during which he saw combat in the Aleutian Islands and in Italy where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service. After a long convalescence John attended the University of Wyoming where he coached the Ski Team and graduated in 1950 with a BS in Geology. While at UW he met and married the love of his life, Margene Johnson. The newly-wed couple moved to Worland, Wyo. where John worked as a geologist for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service (SCS), was Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge, and was the founder, part owner and ski instructor for the Meadowlark Ski Area. His growing family moved to Casper in 1964 where he continued with the SCS until 1979 when he became an independent consulting geologist. After retirement John and Margene split their time between Star Valley Ranch, Wyo. and Sun City, Ariz. John enjoyed skiing into his 90’s, golfing, gardening, hunting, fishing and being with his family. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Stuart and Paul, and sister Natalie. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years; children Glenn McLellan, Linda (Steve) Smith, Karen (Jerry) Dalton, and Barry (Ginny) McLellan; grandchildren Shawnna Murphy and Eric Rice; and sister Grace Cox. Thomas (Tom) Ray Titensor/Christopher, 71, passed away of heart failure on June 13, 2018 , in Provo Utah. He was born October 24, 1946 in Afton to Ralph and Dortha Titensor. He attended the Afton Schools and graduated from Star Valley High School in 1965. While in High School, he lettered in football and basketball. He participated in the music programs. He also served as a Student Body Officer his Senior Class. While in High School, Tom worked at the “Highway Market” for Von and Hilda Titensor. Then, “U.S. Forest Service” working with survey crews in the Grey’s River Area. Tom enlisted in the National Guard serving from 1966 – 1972. Upon his graduation, he attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Then, transferred to University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. While in Salt Lake City he was employed by the Salt Lake County Health Department. He then moved to Evanston, Wyoming where he became a Licensed and Registered Surveyor throughout the western states. During this time he worked for different companies, developing his talents and expertise, becoming recognized for his professionalism. Tom’s talent took him to Kingman, Arizona. Where he served, as “Vice-President – Surveying” for “Mohave Engineering Associates, Inc.” Tom was known for his outgoing personality. He loved to visit and tell stories and made friends easily everywhere he went. Tom also had a passion for the outdoors, skiing with his dad and brothers, ATV’s, guns, golf or just watching the sunset at the top of a mountain range, he loved it all. Due to poor health he moved back to Utah for better medical care. While surveying in Pinedale, Wyoming, Tom met Janet (Jan) Kenast and they later married in December of 1988. Jan proceeded him in death in 2005. He is survived by Jan’s Daughters, Kathryn (Bugs) Duncan and Jacque (Kevin) Lempka. Four grandchildren, Lacy, Michael, Zach, Kali. Siblings, Mary Lou (Garold) Jensen, George (Sara) Titensor, John (Ronette) Titensor. Memorial Service for Thomas Ray Titensor/Christopher will be held July 14 at 1 p.m. in the Springville Utah Stake Center (Relief Society Room), 245 S. 600 East, Springville Utah.
Virginia Schiess Nield, 93, passed away the 23rd of June, 2018. A funeral service will be held on the 30th of June, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 890 North Heritage Hills Drive, Alpine, Utah. A viewing will be from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. with services starting at 11:00 a.m. Virginia will be buried next to her husband, Dean A Nield at the Alpine City Cemetery. Virginia was born on the 9th of June, 1925 to Alonzo (Lon) and Nettie McNeel Schiess in Etna, Wyoming. She grew up in Freedom, Idaho and graduated from Star Valley High School in Afton, Wyoming. Virginia married Dean A Nield on the 31st of January, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple. In 1960, they moved from Wyoming to Southern California to work for Sav-on Drug. In 1983, they retired and moved to Alpine, Utah. Virginia and Dean were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions. They served as temple workers for seven years at both the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples, and served a couples mission in the Toronto Temple Mission. Virginia was a very good wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved family, nature, gardening, traveling, and shopping. She will be missed by her numerous friends and family. She is survived by her four children; John S. (Juanita), Lon S. (Pat), Jenifer Barney and Brad, 17 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Dean A. Schiess and one sister, Patricia Redburn. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.warenski.com
