On August 3, 2019 at 2030 hours the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wyoming Highway Patrol and Afton EMS responded to a residence in Osmond, Wyoming to a report of a male with an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound, 35-year old Christopher Jeff Mower of Rexburg, Idaho was transported to Star Valley Health with a gunshot wound to his left chest and bicep area. Mower was flown to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) in Idaho Falls, Idaho to treat the gunshot wound. Lindsey Smith, a 29 year old female was also transported to Star Valley Health who had sustain an injury to her foot during the incidence.

Another man at the scene, 41-year old Carl Edwin Dalton of Idaho Falls, Idaho, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant which was unrelated to the incident.

The shooting continues to be investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
