According to the Uinta County Fire and Ambulance Facebook page, Bridger Valley Fire Crews responded to the Uintas for a smoke report just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday August 21. A large smoke plume could be seen from the Bridger Valley.

A fire was located between the Gilbert Creek area and the China Meadows Trailhead in Utah. The Forest Service currently has three helicopters, a pair of single engine air tankers working with ground crews to contain the fire that is approximately ten acres in size. The cause of the #Stateline Fire is unknown at this time.

Officials say that smoke may be visible throughout the day.
