With summer drawing to a close, that means it’s almost time for school to start back up. If you’re a teacher, it can be stressful trying to get organized for the fall, and it’s easy to forget the little things. Here’s a list of teaching supplies you probably need to restock before fall.
Grading Pens
Pens never seem to last long when you’re a teacher. You use them for grading and leaving comments on students’ work, and it’s easier to write in pen all the time to distinguish your writing from your students’. Plus, they don’t run out of lead or need sharpening.
File Folders
You never want to sit down to organize student assignments only to realize that you don’t have enough file folders to accommodate them all. It can be hard to know you’re running out until it’s already happened, especially when you keep these supplies in boxes. Stock up now so that you don’t have to make a last-minute trip to the store later.
Colored Dot Stickers
Stickers are an organizer’s best friend, especially in the classroom. Depending on what grade you teach, you may have multiple classes, or you could be teaching more than one subject. You can use colored dot stickers in the classroom to keep track of which handouts, assignments, and storage units are for which categories.
Stapler Refills
The classroom stapler gets a lot of use throughout the year. Make sure to buy extra refills so that you’re never running out on the day everyone is turning in their assignments.
Pro-Tip
Have an extra stapler in your desk that you don’t share with students. Then, you’ll always have staples for your needs.
Sticky Notes
Sticky notes are one of the teaching supplies you need to restock before fall. Even if you still have a few pads lying around, you’ll almost certainly need more. Sticky notes are great for leaving yourself or your students helpful reminders.
With the new school year right around the corner, we know that teachers have a lot to do. Use this list to avoid making any last-minute trips to the store so that you can focus on the semester ahead.
