Official charges have been filed against an Auburn man involved in a shooting at an Afton trailer park. Afton Police Chief Jason Romberg stated that Kyle Andrews, 38, has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder in the Second Degree.
According to Romberg, the shooting happened shortly before noon on Saturday, November 5 in the Thistle Creek Trailer Park, formerly known as Rawhide Trailer Park, located in the area of the 500 block of North Washington St. in Afton. Upon arrival, officers learned Andrews had allegedly shot another male subject with a handgun. After the investigation Andrews was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Lincoln County Jail in Kemmerer. The victim was taken to Star Valley Health and later transferred to another medical facility. Romberg stated the victim has since been released from the out-of-state medical facility and is recovering.
Lincoln County Attorney Spencer Allred said Andrews has had bail set at $300,000 cash or surety and has a preliminary hearing in circuit court on Friday, November 18.
