• Fire truck now based at SVR.

New equipment will be added to the Mid Valley Fire Department Truck housed at Star Valley Ranch this summer.

In addition, some equipment will be included in the storage building where the truck is now housed on a permanent bases.

Tedd Jenkins, with the Mid Valley District, advised the changes to the truck and facility should allow for improved fire ratings at the Ranch.

“Star Valley Ranch is trying to lower their ISO or their insurance rating,” Jenkins noted. “With all of the improvements they have added [in the town] with fire hydrants and a station, this will help with the truck [placed at the site.]”

Certified equipment such as specific pumping equipment, hoses fans and saws will be part of the additions to the Ranch based truck.

“Mid Valley has been working well with them,” Jenkins said of the town. “We credit the mayor and town council for their willingness to work with us as we work to provide them quality fire protection.”
