A man lost his life following an accident involving a wood chipper that occurred in the Alpine area.

The Alpine Volunteer Fire Department said that on Tuesday, June 18 at 1:34 p.m. they were dispatched to a male that was entangled in a woodchipper. Firefighters dissembled parts of the chipper and used vehicle extrication tools to lift the cutting drum and remove the victim. Star Valley Health personnel provided life saving procedures, but the traumatic injuries were too severe.
