• Simpson and Heward offer comments
A new visitor stop in Thayne will include opportunities to share memories on important dates in a locket and key process in what is called Heart of Star Valley.
Mayor Devin Simpson said, “I am excited for this beautiful piece of art to be in Thayne. I appreciate all the support and effort that went into getting this piece of art and look forward to it being a centerpiece along main street.”
“We encourage everyone to buy a lock and come on down and place it on the star to add your own part to the “Heart of Star Valley.”

Town Councilman Joe Heward advised many people have their hearts in Star Valley, whether they live here now or have lived here in the past. The new visitor’s stop allows the memory to be captured in a locket.
Thayne Council Joe Heward Dedication comments:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Thank you all for being here today. It is with great pride and joy that I welcome you to the dedication of the Heart of Star Valley. This project began as a simple idea from my wife and the beautification committee, and today, we see it brought to life in the most spectacular way.
This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support and efforts of many individuals. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Mayor Devin Simpson, whose willingness to navigate the complexities of international trade and send funds to China was instrumental. Our town clerks, Rebecca Hutchinson and Sally Humphreys, worked tirelessly to negotiate the international trade laws and ensured everything was handled smoothly. Their dedication did not stop there—they even went the extra mile to pick up the materials themselves.
A special thanks goes to Javier and his crew for their swift and excellent work on the concrete. Linda Weber, your skill in crafting and perfecting the information sign has provided us with something truly meaningful. The article from SVI Media and the contributions from the LampShade Studio in creating the sign have been invaluable.
I cannot forget to mention Miken Kinder, who provided the plants, and Heather Aullman, who meticulously filled the planter boxes. Your hard work and creativity have brought this project to life and made it look as stunning as it does today.
To our friends, family, and everyone involved, this project represents the heart and spirit of Thayne, the true Heart of Star Valley. This community’s collaboration and dedication are why my heart belongs to Thayne.
Thank you all once again for your support and for being here today to celebrate this remarkable achievement.”
