• Hageman and Lummis address postal plans, Barrasso speaks to high prices.
Both U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman and U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis are encouraging public involvement in the mail programs for Wyoming, While Sen. Barrasso speaks from the Senate Floor about high prices.
U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman: Through oversight and filing of legislation such as my POSTAL Act, I have fought against the United States Postal Service’s (USPS) attempts to consolidate Wyoming’s only processing and distribution centers which would force the bulk of our state’s mail to be routed through Denver or Billings and would sacrifice Wyomingites’ access to timely mail services. Thankfully, Postmaster DeJoy agreed to halt this plan until January of 2025, which was a huge win for Wyoming mail.
Unfortunately, USPS recently announced yet another proposal which would prioritize mail near larger regional processing centers and would target rural areas including most of our state. If you are interested in learning more about this plan and voicing your thoughts, USPS is offering a single virtual conference on September 5th at 11 a.m. MST.

U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis: The people of Wyoming need access to reliable mail delivery in our state’s most rural areas. Now, USPS is once again threatening rural service. I encourage you to voice your concerns on the USPS proposed delivery plan and the impacts it would have on the Cowboy State.

U.S. Sen. John Barrasso: (R-Wyo.) recently spoke on the Senate floor about Vice President Kamala Harris’s dangerously liberal track record of high prices and open borders. Senator Barrasso compared her failures with Senate Republican solutions to get America back on track.
