LINCOLN COUNTY, WYOMING – This summer has, once again, been filled with reminders of the importance of preparedness. We have seen multiple instances in which a “normal day” becomes anything but normal for local communities, due to fires and flash flooding. A landslide over Teton Pass in Teton County affected thousands of workers from the region earlier this year. Small earthquakes serve as a reminder that we do live in a seismically active area. These are only a few examples of hazards that affect us here in Lincoln County.

Lincoln County Emergency Management encourages ALL residents to take a little time this month to reflect on the hazards that are present here in our county and take action to increase
their preparedness level. Small and consistent steps today can create a world of difference over time. Make plans at home and your place of work, with family and coworkers. Do what you can
to have extra food and supplies on hand, even if only enough for a short time. Increased individual preparedness helps to strengthen and improve resilience in our communities.

Sign Up for Emergency Notifications

Receiving prompt and timely information is part of preparedness. Lincoln County Emergency Management uses CodeRED as our notification system for emergencies and disasters. This
system allows rapid notification to thousands of residents in a short amount of time. The biggest limitation is that you need to be signed up. Please go to our website at www.lincolncountywy.gov
