Women in Star Valley of all ages are invited to the bi-monthly Girls Night Out event hosted by Gather on 89.  Activities are scheduled for every first and third Wednesday of the month from 6-9 p.m. Admission is $5, which includes a free frozen yogurt from Swirl, and the cost of supplies for each craft or activity offered that night.

Bethany Packard, one of the owners and operators of Star on 89, is very pleased with the new program. “We probably had 50 ladies and kids there” the first week, where they created beaded items to serve various purposes. Beads are “all the big range now. So, we had a lot of moms and daughters, and teen girls there doing these really fun beaded things.”

They also offered custom jewelry creation from a variety of chains and emblems that ladies could include in their jewelry design. “We had all sorts of different chains that you could choose from and all sorts of stones and pendants. That was really fun.”

“On the third Wednesday of this month, we’re going to do Gourmet caramel apples,” Packard said. “Watch our social media accounts for more details. In November, for the first activity, we’re going to be making these darling Christmas Advent bracelets.” Guests will choose a bracelet chain or band, and 25 charms or beads.” In celebration of the Advent, ladies will be able to put a new charm on the bracelet. “You’ll add one of those things to your bracelet each day until Christmas day, you add your last bead. I’m so excited!  I’m going to do these for my granddaughters as their Christmas gifts. On the 25, I’ll let wrap up their last charm and I’m going to have that be there initial. As a grandma, I just think those will be super inexpensive gifts. I think they’ll be really fun!”

The second activity in November, Girl’s Night Out will offer a pie crust making class “so people can come and take home pie crusts and stick them in the freezer or bake their pies right away for Thanksgiving. That’s going to be really awesome!  We’re going to do pampering and classes and crafts and all sorts of stuff because we know what a girl wants!”
