Welcome to the inaugural Sports Broadcast Camp hosted by SVI Media! This camp is designed for those in the high school and college sports broadcast profession. Whether you are just starting out, or want to improve your current product, you’ll find helpful tools and training.
Featured Guest
For our first camp, we are thrilled to feature Bill Riley, the longtime radio voice of the Utah Utes on ESPN 700 and 92.1 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Riley, who has called Utah games since 2010, was named as the Utah Sports Broadcaster of the Year by the National Sports Media Association in 2012, 2015 and 2022.
A 1992 graduate of the University of Kansas, Riley is currently the Director of Broadcasting of the University of Utah Athletics Department. He also teaches a sports media class at the University of Utah.
Camp Session: Riley will provide a brief presentation focused on the most critical aspects of a successful sports broadcast and share some of his tips to calling a game. He will also work with each broadcaster, both in-person and remotely, on their individual play-by-play and or sports production.

David Cazier, VP of Sports Production
David has been producing high quality video coverage since 2014, growing SVI’s production from a single camera to a 4K, 5-camera broadcast with instant replay. He will share the basics of building a broadcast from scratch.
