\Verdell Skinner

Verdell C. Skinner

Verdell C Skinner, age 60, son of Emma Skinner and the late Gary Skinner, passed away the morning of June 9th, 2025, after years of chronic heart problems.  He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He was a graduate of Star Valley High School (1983) and of the Wyoming Technical Institute in Diesel Mechanics (Dec, 1985).  He met his dear wife, Lisa, of 40 years while working in Moran, Wyoming.  They were married on Feb 23, 1985.  They made their home in Casper, Wyoming where Verdell worked for Rocky Mountain Brakes for 38 years.

Verdell always loved the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed helping friends rope and brand cattle.  He loved horses, roping and all things rodeo!  He made friends easily and epitomized the phrase “a hard worker”. He loved working with his hands and could fix just about anything.  His pride and joy was his restored 1979 Ford truck “Big Red.”  He was loved by his nieces and nephews and by Payton, who considered him like a father.

He is survived by his wife Lisa, his mother Emma, his brothers Jody (Maureen), Darrel (Sherry) and his sister Reta (Brian), and 14 nieces and nephews.
