Fatality results from rollover near Mountain View

Just before 7 p.m. on Friday April 3rd, Bridger Valley Fire and EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover 14 miles south of Mountain View on Wyoming 414. Two occupants sustained critical injuries during the crash.  Two Helicopters from University of Utah AirMed were called to meet the two ambulances in Mountain View to transport to a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Mountain View and Lyman Police Departments, Uinta County Sheriffs Office and Fire Crews established a landing zone at the Green Space in Mountain View. One patient was flown and the second patient succumbed to their injuries at the landing zone.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.  The involved vehicle was a blue Toyota Rav 4 with Colorado plates. Prior to the crash, roughly between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., one of the occupants exited the vehicle and approached some people who were shooting at the public shooting range, the “Turkey Shoots”. After speaking with the individuals at the shooting range, the vehicle continued south on 414, where it rolled.
