Holy Family Catholic Church is hosting their traditional Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 78 Friesian Circle in Thayne. As the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Council of Catholic Women, proceeds from the Bazaar benefit community members in need and the Holy Family parish.

The CCW organizes the event each year to support organizations and projects that need extra funding, including Thayne Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels, the local food pantries, funeral luncheons and fundraisers for various folks who have medical or financial needs in the community.

Featuring all local vendors and crafters, this year’s Bazaar offers baked goods, home décor, pottery and fabric crafts among other choices. Lunch will be available from Tony Reyes, who is “well known here for his food,” said co-organizer Donna Kelsey in an interview with SVI Media last week.

“Everything is unique and handmade, except for the Scentsy products,” said Kelsey. “We do limit vendor numbers because of limited space.”

“This is a tradition that everyone looks forward to,” said Kelsey. “There will be a big banner in front of the church on the highway, and we have plenty of parking. Come and support us and buy something unique for your Christmas list.”
