At what is considered an all-state preview for the boys truly is a glimpse at the all-class landscape for Wyoming high school girls wrestling as teams gather for the Ron Thon Memorial in Riverton. The Lady Braves, gunning to become the school’s third three-peat of the school year following boys cross-country and football, look like they are poised to do just that after an 80-point team win on Friday. 

Star Valley scored 232.5 team points far outstripping second-place Pinedale who scored 153.5. Cheyenne East was third with 137.5. 

Senior Veil Foreman continued her undefeated run in Wyoming competition, now in it’s third year, by winning her second Ron Thon title at 145. She moved to 24-0 on the season and pinned four opponents before winning over Lovell’s Danika Crumrine by technical fall (18-0) in the championship. 

Keston Johnson (120) and Remington Aullman (135) made the finals where they placed second. Carlee Angell was third at 100 pounds. In all, 11 Lady Braves made their way onto the podium. 

The Star Valley girls have just one more event before the post-season as they host a four-team quad on February 11. That will be followed up by the regional tournament in Evanston on February 21-22 with the state tournament starting on February 27.
