Lincoln County Public Health now offering COVID booster vaccines

â—† Moderna, Pfizer and J&J boosters are all available to those who qualify.

Lincoln County Public Health (LCPH) is now offering COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to those who qualify. Moderna, Pfizer and J&J boosters are all available by appointment or during an upcoming booster shot clinic scheduled for November 8.

According to LCPH, the criteria for both the Moderna and Pfizer boosters are:
It has been at least six months from the date of your second dose.
65 years of age or older or,
Ages 18-64 with underlying health conditions or,
Ages 18-64 and living in a high risk setting or long term care facility or,
Ages 18-64 and at high risk of contracting COVID-19 due to occupation (i.e. healthcare, first responders, education staff, daycare, food & agriculture workers, manufacturing, corrections workers, Postal Service, Public Transit, grocery stores).

To receive the Moderna booster shot, an online signup sheet is available. Links to the sheet can be found on the Lincoln County Public Health Facebook page or on their website: www.lcwy.org/departments/public_health.

In addition, LCPH is hosting a Moderna booster clinic on Monday, November 8 in the 4-H building at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds from 1:00-2:30. Those who would like a booster during this clinic, and meet the above mentioned criteria, are asked to call LCPH Afton Office in advance at 307-885-9598, or sign up through the online sheets, and a representative will contact you for an exact time. At this time, south Lincoln residents are asked to contact the Kemmerer office at 307-877-3780, or use the online sign up sheets, to schedule a time to receive the Moderna booster

Those who would like to receive the Pfizer booster shot, and meet the above mentioned criteria, are asked to schedule an appointment through the Afton or Kemmerer offices by phone only.

LCPH is also scheduling people who would like the J&J vaccine boosters. For those, one has to be 18 years or older and it has to have been at least two months since they received their dose of J&J. Contact the LCPH office in Afton or Kemmerer to schedule an appointment to receive the J&J booster.
According to Lincoln County Public Health, it is allowed for people to opt for a different COVID-19 vaccine than the one they first completed as their booster, but those interested in mixing and matching to please call the public health offices and let them know that is what you prefer.
