According to information provided by the Idaho State Police (ISP) a 51-year old male from Idaho Falls was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital after an accident that occurred on Friday night August 18, 2023.

The ISP stated that they received a call at 8:42 p.m. and informed the man had crashed on U.S. 26 at milepost 371 in Bonneville County near Swan Valley.

According to the information provided by the ISP the man was driving a Honda VT1100 in the eastbound lane when he drove off the right shoulder and caused the vehicle to overturn.

The roadway was blocked for an hour in both directions to allow emergency personnel to clear the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
