LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 26, 2024) –The Wyoming Cowboys welcome the surging UNLV Runnin’ Rebels to Laramie on Tuesday in a 7 p.m. contest in the Arena-Auditorium. It marks the second-straight home game for the Cowboys, as it is also the second to last home contest of the season.

The contest will be televised on CBS Sports Network. Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com..The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.
About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 13-14 overall record and a 6-8 mark in conference play. The Pokes shot over 50 percent from the field against Boise State and have done so in nine games this season. UW is shooting 45.3 percent from the field for the season. Opponents are shooting 46.1 percent. Wyoming leads the conference shooting 37.1 percent from behind the arc. UW grabs 34.5 rebounds per game for the season and rank fourth in conference play grabbing 35.0 per game.
The Runnin’ Rebels have won seven of the last eight contests dating back to Jan. 27 and boast a 16-10 record and 9-5 mark in the MW. UNLV averages 74.3 points per game but is one of the top defensive teams in the Mountain West allowing 68.3 points per game. UNLV is shooting 46.8 percent from the field for the season and are allowing opponents to shoot 43.2 percent. UNLV averages 6.3 steals per game and defend the rim with 4.4 blocks per night.
About The Players
Wyoming is led in scoring this season by Sam Griffin at 17.4 points per game. He has scored 20 or more points in 11 games this season. He also leads the team adding 3.4 assists per game. Akuel Kot adds 13.9 points per game. He has recorded 51 three-pointers on the season for second on the team behind 65 from Griffin. Mason Walters adds 12.9 points per game and Brendan Wenzel adds 10.9 per night. Cam Manyawu adds 6.4 rebounds per game to lead the Pokes this season.
The Runnin’ Rebels are led in scoring this season by one of the top freshmen in the nation in Dedan Thomas, Jr. He adds 12.8 points per game and leads the team with 5.6 assists per night. He is shooting 46.1 percent from the field. Keylan Boone adds 12 points per game 6.3 rebounds. Luis Rodriquez adds 11.5 points per night and leads the team with 6.6 rebounds per game.
About The Series
The Cowboys trail the all-time series with UNLV 20-45 in a series that dates back to 1966. The Pokes are 16-12 all-time against the Runnin’ Rebels in Laramie, but UNLV did take the contest last season in Laramie.
