Rollover accident near Lyman claims two lives

A one-vehicle crash, reported on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, has claimed the lives of two Eden, Idaho residents. According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol accident report, a westbound 2007 Dodge Ram half-ton pickup lost control on an icy bridge on Interstate 80 near Lyman.

The truck left the highway and rolled two-and-a half times down an embankment. Alan Peterson, the 54-year-old driver, and Silvia Peterson, the 58-year-old passenger, were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene of the crash.

Both were not wearing seatbelts according to the patrol report. Time of the crash is not known, but accident was discovered and reported at 7 a.m., on Oct. 9. The accident marked the 111th and 112th fatality in Wyoming during 2017.
